Now, more than ever, families of those with autism and other developmental disabilities are seeking support, direction, and guidance. Little Friends has recognized this need by focusing on the families and caregivers in our community with our Family Support Network.
Little Friends Family Support Network provides families with socialization opportunities and offers the information, resources, and support needed to make informed choices for their loved ones. The mission of the Family Support Network is to connect Little Friends families and friends of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at various stages of life’s journey.
We want to invite parents and caregivers to join us as we strive to connect families through a series of informational and social events planned for the 2024-25 year. Our inaugural Caregiver Social event is scheduled for Friday, August 9, from 6-8 p.m. and will be hosted at our Adult Services Building at 27545 Diehl Rd. This adult-only gathering will include a light dinner, allowing parents and caregivers to meet, share, and learn from one another. For any inquiries, please reach out to Pat Loy.
