Time is a
Gift That Empowers.
When you volunteer with Little Friends, you’re filling essential roles for our agency’s success, so we can help clients & their families lead fulfilling lives. Your support, your dedication and your time is powerful.
All volunteers must take part in an extensive training program to get better-acquainted with our clients, and program volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. If a volunteer will be working directly with an individual served by Little Friends, they must complete an application, interview and background check. Due to confidentiality, there are no volunteer opportunities available within our children’s programs.
Please complete the application and return to:

Little Friends recruits volunteers for the Step Up and Shine for Autism Walk (October), the Little Friends Parade of Lights (November) and other events throughout the year. The success of these events relies heavily on the involvement of our volunteers. Event volunteers should be at least 16 years of age. Volunteers ages 14 to 16 can be welcomed with an adult volunteer.
Community-based service clubs, youth groups and corporate businesses work with Little Friends on various projects throughout the year. These projects must be planned in advance and with the assistance of the Director of Special Events and Volunteers.
Court-Mandated Community Service
In some cases, Little Friends can accept individuals who need to complete court-mandated service hours. These opportunities are supervised by Little Friends’ Maintenance Department. As such, all applicants must be at least 18 years of age and available for periods of time during operational hours—Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There are no after-hour or weekend opportunities for court-mandated service.
